The DJPM Web Design Philosophy

What a great web site really is.

Our philosophy is simple - A web site is for the user. The user is your customers, your donors, your friends, your family. Your site needs to work for them.

What Users Want:

  • To find what they came to your site looking for - ASAP
  • Fast loading pages - especially dial-up users
  • Simple navigation
  • Accessibility features for the blind or people using alternative input devices.

What Users Don't Want:

  • Long download times
  • Not being able to find what they are looking for
  • To get lost, or find a dead end
  • Mess with browser versions, plug-ins, or 3rd party software

Your site needs to be efficient, functional, and user friendly.

We believe your site should look great and be accessible, no matter who your customers are or how they are accessing your site. These things are not hard to do, it just takes better planning. A little foresight goes a long way.

Did You Know?

Many sites are designed to look great in one or two web browsers. Meanwhile the same site looks not so great, or is completely inaccessible in other browsers! Why turn away customers because they have the wrong browser?!
